A New Level of Horse Care

At HME all our stalls are matted and bedded with highly absorbent, expanded pellet bedding for maximum dryness and comfort. Stalls are cleaned meticulously and fresh bedding added daily. Water buckets are dumped, and wiped twice a day and scrubbed with disinfectant two times a week.

 

Our Horses receive ample amounts of turnout time adjusted to their own needs on our luscious green pastures. Most of our Horses are turned out as much as possible in small to medium groups, aside from inclement weather or hazardous footing conditions. Some even prefer to live outside 24/7, and we are happy to offer two field board options for our mares and geldings or horses coming in for training.

During the winter, horses are turned out during the day with hay. During the summer they enjoy cool nights turnout on our beautiful grass pastures. Individual turnout is also an option for horses who need their own space or a bit more supervision.

Our Horses diets are strictly maintained and each horse is reviewed as needed by a professional nutritionist. Feed schedules are adjusted as needed to ensure our horses will always be receiving optimum nutrition for their current work load and the seasonal changes. We strongly support feeding a diet based mostly on quality, continuous forage supplemented with limited grain for our equine athletes. We are happy to feed owner provided grain or supplements if requested.

Facilities

On property we boast TWO barns separating our lesson program from our sale and training horses. The Cheval Barn, is a spacious newly renovated(2017) 16 stall barn that is fully Heated. The wide, brick isles ways conveniently lead you right into our indoor and outdoor arenas. Both arenas are professionally footed with custom fiber, rubber & sand footing. Our Viewing lounge, bathroom, laundry room and private tack room are also located in the Cheval Barn.

Our Equus Barn, also renovated(2017), is equipped with 17 stalls, two heated tack rooms, office and lounge. This restored Historical Bank Barn stays cool on the hottest of days. It is a short picturesque walk or ride down the driveway to the riding arenas.

Both Stables have excellent ventilation, exhaust fans to pull out hot air, each stall with a window & Dutch door to maximize fresh air flow.

Training & Consignment

Each one of our individualized Training programs are created after a thorough professional evaluation and mutual review of our findings. We believe in having an open line of communication with our owners. We set goals, not deadlines as each horse learns and grows at their own pace. We provide Weekly updates and optional "sit-in" training sessions.
